Autumn Makes Me Happy

Without a doubt, autumn has to be the prettiest time of the year in West Virginia.  So many colors, so little time.  Soon winter will be here and the colors will have faded to a dirt brown. Blah, it’s depressing thinking about it.  In other news, I can’t believe the feedback I’ve gotten so far.  I haven’t really advertised the site yet because I would really like to have the new 5d MK II in hand before I go all out.

Good news: We will be able to offer KISS wedding albums for an extra charge.  These things are simple – yet premium.  Check them out at http://www.kissweddingbooks.com/.  I can’t think of a better book to store your memories.

Until next time… Peace out.

Forest Festival

Winged Wheels

Winged Wheels

I’ve finally had a couple of moments to troll through the pictures that I had taken at the Forest Festival.  Nothing too spectacular – in fact, they look the same as last years, which looked like the year before lasts which in turn looked like the year before that.  None the less, it was a great time.  The Toronto Winged Wheels were excellent, as always.  The Fireman’s parade seemed a little short.  I suppose the gas crunch may have had something to do with that.  As far as turn out, this has to be one of the most busiest Forest Festivals that I’ve been to since moving to Elkins.  It was crazy!  You could hardly walk,  turn or move during the parade.  Speaking of parade.. there didn’t seem to be as many bands there this year?

The above crew was a hoot.  Melanie and I were trekking from Bridgewater with our camera gear and chairs.  These gentlemen asked us if we wanted a ride.  They said they didn’t “bite”.:)  Dunno.  I needed the exercise so we walked.  Kind of wished we would have ridden with them.  Looks like they had a good time!

Official!

Yeap it’s official!  We’re nearly legal… Business license(s) in the process, Business cards on order and the new Canon 5d MK II on order – We’re set!  I’m uber excited about the 5d MK II.  Everything I’ve seen from it makes it well worth the wait.  It’s a good solid upgrade from the 5d.  Here’s hoping I get it soon enough to snap a couple of weddings before the complete close of “Wedding Season”.  Forest Festival has already come and gone.. I’m still recouping from building the website, after which I plan to post a couple of photos from the events.

Welcome

Welcome to our new blog.  Startup for the business is coming along pretty well.  Mel has been working on getting all of our state / federal paperwork completed – so it shouldn’t be long before we are legit! We will be posting sneak peaks of some of our weddings and photo shoots here -> so check back often!
